Ethan Beckwith-Cohen is a dance artist born and raised in Rochester, New York. During his adolescence, Ethan studied at Rochester's School of the Arts, Garth Fagan Dance, and Borinquen Dance Theatre. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Sidra Bell, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Kim Bares-Bailey, Katie Swords-Thurman, Elisa Clark, and many others.

 

He has been producing dance projects and productions since he was a sophomore in highschool. In 2019, Ethan founded SacatheniaDance, a project dedicated to exploring unique ways that dance can be used as a catalyst for human expression.

 

Ethan has taught for various companies and studios around the Rochester and Philadelphia area. His classes are an attempt to create the perfect blend of artistry and athleticism. Strengthening and stretching the body while simultaneously exploring ways of using our mental headspace to further understand ourselves as dance artists. He strives to curate an environment of constant movement, exploration, and intensity, resulting in an outpour of energy.
